NOSMA Cabbage Cleaner
NOSMA cabbage cleaners are specially designed for processing stored cabbage (white cabbage/red cabbage) for the fresh produce market. They are, of course, also suitable for cleaning industrial cabbage. Gentle and careful cleaning and handling of the cabbage is guaranteed, amongst other things, by the soft-coated silicone cleaning rollers and the use of a frequency-controlled blower. The frequency-controlled blower ensures that only as many leaves are blown off as required. The only thing to bear in mind is to ensure the stalk is cut correctly! Leaves detached from the stalk are blown off by air jets or an air bar. To create a better working environment, the cabbage cleaning machine can be fitted with sound insulation.
NOSMA is also used in the cabbage processing industry, particularly in sauerkraut and salad factories. Cleaning cabbage that has already had its stalks removed is also no problem for NOSMA cabbage cleaners. Although our cleaning rollers are very soft, they are extremely robust and durable. NOSMA cabbage cleaning machines are our response to ever-rising wages and labour shortages. Gentle cleaning – just like by hand!

Profile roller function
Two profiled rollers (cleaning rollers) turning in the same direction simultaneously rotate the cabbage and convey it through the cleaning unit. The cleaning rollers are cast in soft silicone so that the cabbage is not damaged in any way. This also guarantees a long service life for the cleaning rollers.
Frequency control
The speed of the cleaning and conveyor rollers can be adjusted steplessly by a frequency controller. Cabbage with fine and coarse leaf structure is thus cleaned guaranteed gently and cleanly. Also frequency controlled is the blower.
Blower
The frequency-controlled air blower is mounted directly on the machine. This prevents unnecessary power losses.
Nozzle section
Above the cleaning rollers, there is a rotating nozzle array – the angle of which can be fully adjusted – fitted with adjustable air strips, which blows away the coal leaves that have been separated from the stump. The air pressure can also be regulated by adjusting the nozzle cross-section via a nozzle strip. The nozzle array and the individual nozzles can thus be adjusted to suit the specific crop being cleaned. The air flow rate and pressure are controlled at the blower via a frequency converter.
Cabbage guide plate
There are two so-called cabbage guide plates attached at the inside right and inside left of the cleaning machine. These can be adjusted by means of screws. The cabbage guide plates (rubberised) serve the purpose of optimum guidance of the headed cabbage through the cleaning machine.
Drive
The cleaning rollers drive is powered by two 0.55 kW electric motors. The speed can be adjusted using a frequency converter and/or smaller or larger V-belt pulleys.
